What is chunkbase.dev?
chunkbase.dev is a free, modern suite of browser-based utilities designed to help Minecraft builders, survival players, and technical adventurers navigate their worlds. Our platform provides interactive seed maps, biome locators, structure and feature finders, slime chunk calculators, and superflat preset generators for both Minecraft Java Edition and Bedrock Edition.
Currently supporting data for Minecraft 26.3 (Java) and 26.60 (Bedrock), our tools calculate terrain distributions and point-of-interest coordinates with high fidelity, helping you plan bases, design efficient farms, and explore unique world generation seeds.
Client-Side World Generation Engine
All world maps, biome calculations, and structure coordinates on chunkbase.dev are computed locally on your device using modern WebAssembly (Wasm) and dedicated Web Worker threads. Rather than querying a central server for every chunk, our client-side engine executes deterministic world generation algorithms directly inside your browser.
This decentralized approach delivers rapid, responsive zooming and panning across massive coordinate grids while keeping bandwidth usage minimal.
Local Save Game Processing (level.dat)
Many of our apps include a convenient "Load from save" button that allows you to inspect your active world seed by
selecting your world's level.dat file.
Privacy & Security Guarantee: Your level.dat file is parsed entirely client-side
by our JavaScript NBT reader inside your browser sandbox. World save files are never uploaded, transmitted, or saved
to any external server. Your private world files and player data remain strictly on your own computer.
